1. Emrah20,

Hello.
I don't know, if I have posted It, but I have one idea.
Please, could You create solitaire games here? I think It'll be same as arcade games, so there will be subfolder with solitaire games, such as klondike, cannon solitaire, poker solitaire ETC.
I think It'll be good relaxation for those, who wants just stress relief. I know, that now is good for My relaxation to play kalimba, but It was before solitaire games too.

2. Aminiel,

Hello,

I have always been quite against adding solitaire games on the playroom, simply because I find kind of ridiculous to go to a platform like the playroom and play alone while it is primarily made to play together, or viewed on the other side, require an Internet connection in order to play alone.

However, things might change because afterall, playing with bots isn't so different, most people play with bots most of the time nowadays, it could be useful while waiting for your friends, and Magic Blocks and 2048 are already solo puzzles. So, finally, maybe, why not. And there remains a challenge if we keep a global top list.

What do other people think ? Ridiculous, interesting, a pure waste of time, useful, might be worthwhile, or not at all ?

By the way, do you specifically think about card solitaires like Klondik or Freecell, or do you also include other ones like Minesweeper, peg solitaire, etc. ?

3. godfather,

I agree re: most people playing against bots. Also it's nice to have all games in one place instead of separate audiogame variants, especially when it's similar genre games (cardgames in this case). if there are even any for some of these out there.

4. Nikola,

Hello,
it might sound a little absurd at first, but I would consider integrating a set of solo minigames as an option while you are on free tables. It's good to have some background activity while chatting. Of course I wouldn't do that if a chat is extremely active and it is a free table with 10 people, but if it is a few friends having a casual talk, playing a game in the background is quite fine.

Since we are not playing with anybody else, there is no reason to limit them to a particular table, so that you can't chat with other people while you are playing. Yes, we lose the ability to see that a player is playing one of these games, but I don't think it truly matters that much.
If we want that, we could take it further by offering some integration (i.e. options to share your highest score with the table), but I am not sure how I feel about that one, it's just live brainstorming.

Note that I am only talking about solo games as discussed here, Solitaire, minesweeper, that kind of game, not arcade games. For those, the goal is probably to have a multiplayer component eventually, at least for some of them.
2048 isn't one such game, but 2048 in my opinion should have been a standard game, not an arcade one. Of course it's perfectly understandable why it is an arcade game, it was a contribution from another developer and a way to get that started, so I definitely appreciate the contribution, I'm just saying that at its core mechanic, it doesn't have anything requiring it to be an audiogame, and by converting it to a classic game, we'd gain more potential to make it accessible to sighted users too, as well as to Web client users.

Getting back to the original topic, I've personally never played any solitaire games, although I have an idea of how they work, I just haven't really found a suitable interface.
On the other hand another platform does offer a great Minesweeper game, and it's definitely a great timewaster, I enjoy that one.
I find Magic blocks very enjoyable too, and it was extremely addicting once it came out, unfortunately it has this threshold, once you cross the limit and achieve what you feel is the best you can do, there isn't really much more to do. I can probably readjust my strategy and beat my current highest one of about 500000 (there are three better players on the scoreboard so it's clearly doable), but I am not as motivated to find the formula as I once was. Different board sizes or more sound packs might revive it.

In short, I think there is interest for solo games on the Playroom, and with a scoreboard, it would certainly make it even more interesting.
Not all games necessarily have to be completely solo either, some could work on the first one to finish wins principle, you still don't have a lot of interaction, but it does offer more adrenaline and excitement.

5. Emrah20,

Hello, Marco again.
Sorry to post this suggestion here, but I'd like to play some games just for relaxation. Good examples of those games are games, like incremental games or solitaire.
Maybe You understand now My point of view.
Thank You folks for explanation.
Marco

7. Nikola,

You may know incremental games under the names idle or clicker games.

Basically, they are very simple, and often involve clicking something to increase a currency, buying various kinds of automations so the game plays itself, with the goal to unlock more and more as you keep playing.

Popular accessible examples are Crafting kingdom on mobile, cookie clicker as a Web game, and many other Web games. Due to their simple nature they're often accessible by chance or at least require only some small updates to be made accessible.

There's a great compiled list of accessible ones at https://forum.audiogames.net/topic/24771/list-of-accessible-clickeridleincremental-games-february-18th-2022/

8. Aminiel,

OK, so if I understand correctly, it's basically press enter games I guess ?
You don't really need to decide on something, right ? You just spend your life clicking and that's all ?

9. JuneRose,

I like the idea of Solitaire games; something to do while waiting for others to come online or just to relax in the wee hours of the morning.Besides, Free Cell is fun
